To the last comment, I am the one who originally recorded this directly from Verizon. It's a real message. Not sure why you think it's fake.

Very very cute..I left Verizon 6 months ago..but I may use it anyway cause it's funny to me..
Good one for spammers.
How do you use it as your voice mail
To the person who told me they aren't interested via email: I still don't understand why? I thought you liked it when I went thru your back door, I'm sorry if it offended you, geez. You can remove this from your greetings when I call now as I see your message about me on here. I took the hint.
Btw, he said he was single only cuz we wanted to lure you into our swingles lifestyle. Come on and answer your phone again please!
Haha laughing so hard at the chick who felt the need to tell us about this being perfect for the Fuccing B*tch calling me to say stay away from her bf.lmfao! Omg I'm going to pee! I'm sorry I've called so many times, I just want a three some and for you guys to include me, that's all.
you need to assign a wildcard as a contact to block numbers from prefixes etc. *866, *877.
hey I have davenport university calling me 6 times a day over a book billing dispute. They call from different 866 877 every time. the numbers are never the same. I have signed up for this "ditch" feature but im unsure if this will work. Do I need to turn on the "do not disturb" on my iphone for the caller to get the "out of service" message?
How do I assign this greeting to blocked or anonymous calls ?! So confused I don't think my contacts synced right, it says they did but nothing has appeared in my YouMail, help!
This is perfect for the dumb B**** who keeps calling me, telling me to back off her bf. When in fact he said he was single, how was I suppose to know. Keep your man in check B!
go to contacts, look to the left of the phone number. you see a circle with a strike going diagnol? click on that, and it turns red. you have have now assigned that contact to ditchmail.
how do i set up a contact for the DITCH option if they have not called me yet? i know how to do it if its on my call list, but they have not called me yet since i signed up for it
this is the real message. its a direct recording
but what does the real message from vzw sound like or does it not exist?
This is perfect for an annoying person that keeps on calling me. Some people just dont get the hint, I sent that person an e-mail telling them im not intrested this should do the trick.
Perfect for those pests and stalkers!
Just enable the ditch option and they won't hear a beep. Just a click!
this some good stuff when you dont want people to be calling you anymore...hahhaha
In your Contacts Tab within YouMail, if you click the grey 'no' symbol next to the number it will turn red (look for the mouseover tool tip that will explain the feature further). This will turn off the beep and auto-hangup on the caller.
oh and after you play this message enough times, you can then reassign a new message such as 'you have reached the law offices of...' and they won't ever call back. lol
I set this up in my Contacts list so that if a special someone calls from a Blocked number, they can't leave a message. Then if they DO unblock their number or call from a non-blocked number, THIS message will play. I've no idea about whether it leaves a BEEP at the end? Does anyone know? All I know is I saw in my Call Log when the person called (it ID'ed them on the web page) and they didn't leave a msg. So, apparently - it works ;)
Does anybody know whether it plays a beep at the end? That is, if the frustrated caller decides to hang on that long? BWAAAAAaaaahaa! (Seriously, tho, does it play a 'beep' at the end? If so, that could give it away). Overall a 6 Star Rating!
this works beautifully (Feb 1) my excuse: 'Verizon said they'd give me until the end of (last) month to make good on my contract.' Guess they didn't. Ooops! It works GREAT!
oh yeahhhh!
